Best Western operate over 4,100 hotels worldwide and have recently redeveloped their UK website. Before launching the new website, they wanted to ensure that it would achieve WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility compliance.
- Access the website against WCAG 2.0 A and AA criteria on desktop, tablet and mobile
- Highlight any areas where the website did not achieve compliance
- Provide recommendations to achieve compliance
- Work with developers to implement changes
An initial stakeholder meeting identified Best Western’s accessibility needs and any particular areas of concern.
We then carried out an expert accessibility audit. An accessibility expert reviewed the experience in the development environment and identified all issues alongside practical solutions to help the development team achieve compliance. The resulting report was structured to provide practical implementation guidance to the development team.
We worked closely with the development team to support the implementation of the accessibility solutions, and retested to ensure correct execution and continued WCAG compliance.
The client was able to launch the new website confident that it would be fully accessible.
