ADP are a global provider of cloud-based Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions that unite HR, payroll, talent, time, tax and benefits administration, and are a leader in business outsourcing services, analytics and compliance expertise.
Making better use of the reporting and analytics capabilities had been recognised as key to enhancing the iHCM solution. Many opportunities had been identified to develop the solution, however ADP were not clear on what would be most beneficial for their clients.
- Gather insights and establish requirements for reporting and analytics
- Directly understand current behaviours, needs, expectations, systems, devices and challenges
- Analyse these insights and derive ideas and concepts for prototyping
- Identify innovative solutions to meet reporting and analytic needs
We made sure that ADP and their customers were closely involved throughout the process, helping to deliver a solution that would provide maximum business advantage.
Innovation isn’t simple. So we used ideation workshops to stimulate a new way of thinking. Ideation workshops are a powerful way to involve key stakeholders and customers in contributing to a common innovation goal, and share delivery of the project objectives.
We led ADP through an exciting and stimulating process of generating creative and innovative ideas. A series of collaborative ideation workshops were conducted with a wide range of HR professionals and managers.
Lateral thinking dominated the ideation workshops and we encouraged a move away from old patterns of thinking in order to deliver new ideas. The workshops included many idea generation exercises that culminated in the identification of possible new solutions.
The insights showed that integrating reporting and analytics across the system was key to adoption, and that enabling users to see and understand their data quickly and simply should be central to any future solution. An intelligent system that could identify patterns of behaviour and reduce manual processing would also add considerable benefit to users.
We created design concepts to make tangible the ideas generated in the workshops. We also conducted user testing to ensure that the reporting and analytics solution would meet user needs.
